Simon Pearce's Highgate vase has a weighty base and a heart-shaped rim, to hold everything from a bunch of wildflowers to that one perfect rose. Growing up in Ireland, Simon Pearce learned to throw pots in his father's studio. At 16, he went to London to study glassblowing, and then apprenticed with with prestigious makers throughout Europe.
